Its about time I pickup my graduate research and get on with it. After my last two papers got reject I decided to take a little time off, but I don’t think taking time of from that is the write thing to do. Yes, I am not in the same state of mind as I was in couple of months ago but I think going back and pickup up my work will help me to avoid thinking about many things that I can’t control.

I don’t know who religiously read my blog, and I highly doubt there are any but then again this blog brought life back to my life. So, I am sorry for not being active or writing away my experiences here. This would be the summer that I will never forget in my life, this would be the summer that I would tell to my kids.
Mini was a car I always liked but never thought I would really buy one until I took this avenue in my life. I know its an avenue that I am not alone, and I feel that this avenue has lot to offer such as life, happiness, joy, and peace. Interesting feeling I get from this avenue is that, I feel like I have been traveling on this avenue for very long time, which is a really good feeling.
For some Mini may be a car, but for me its not, no one would know except for…

I don’t get why my life is always awfully stressful. I don’t think my mind ever had a time where it was completely in relax mode. Don’t get me wrong I know how to have a good time, but the stressful cloud always right above my head. My life has never been an easy path, things hardly ever work the way I want them to work. Every single choice I make have to be carefully calculated but the worst case is they still go wrong. I am constantly worried about many things because I have to otherwise they could become worse than it is. So, I am extremely stressed out, but I try to put a happy face and make rest of the world happy as much to ability I have left in me. But I am getting tired of it, sometimes I feel like go back home, and take time off from everything that I am doing and re-evaluate my life. Then again I am not a kid anymore, I cant run away, I guess I will keep doing what I am doing and keep believing in myself, that someday good will find its path towards me.

I am a very lite sleeper, If I have to sleep later than 8am, I have to foce myself to do so, I bet being a grad student also doesn’t add any help to my sleeping habits. I do workout 3-4 times a week and most of the time its late in the evening towards to the night. I have found out that workout dates I can stay awake till 2-3am. I don’t complain because it helps on my research and other school work.
One of my biggest problem is I can’t sleep during day time. If I get any sleep its absolutely a miracle. But lately I have had couple of naps and It was utterly fantastic, and LOVED it!!!. Today, I slept while monitoring an exam just for 5 min and I wished I was in my bed.
So going forward, I am going to make an attempt to squeeze in a nap during weekend. Because there is no way I can take nap during the week, unless I find a good quiet class room.

I think March is a very special month. Month starts with my birthday so that it self is good enough to be special. But I like to look beyond that. March is the month that brings spring. Spring brings new life. Trees start to wake up from long and hash winter, wild life introduce their new born to this world, snow melts and melted snow finds its path to rivers. Its a month of a new beginning, and even mother nature agrees to it.
So, Why cant we start a new beginning. Why are we so afraid for a new beginning? Why many of us don’t take the next step? What elements hold us from making the decision to a new beginning? I don’t have the answer for it. May be some don’t need a new beginning? I am not sure if I belong to that category!
Beside all the above, March is still special because its the month of Royal-Thomian Cricket encounter, the olderst cricket series after Ashes, Then as a basketball player and a fan you can’t avoid March Madness.
So do you still doubt the specialness of March…?

Atmosphere at the barn (William Arena) was electrifying as always. Gophers got into a great start. It was good to see that both defense and offense was getting click right from the beginning. Hoffarber was red hot from get go. Pen State rallied for a come back in the second half, but Westbrook got really hot at the second half and put an end to Pen State’s come back by hitting some great shots from downtown. As I said, what a great way to start the BIG TEN Opener.

I always wondered why the TV adds are way too louder than than the regular tv programs. Also its very annoying to hit the volume button up and down every single 15min while you watch a movie or a program. But good news is very soon we don’t have to do that at all. Today US house passed the bill to make sure that all the TV adds should aired with the same volume of regular programs.

Lately I have been adding improvements to the framework that I have build using selenium rc, JUnit, Java, and Xpath. While adding more functions I wanted to add a method to handle ajax. The idea was to wait until all the ajax action complete in a page. Selenium api has a waitForCondition method. Method accept a script, and time out.
public void waitForCondition(java.lang.String script,
java.lang.String timeout)
Our application uses Prototype ajax library. so I used waitForCondition() from selenium api, and implement the following method.
public void waitForAjax() {
super.waitForCondition("selenium.browserbot.getCurrentWindow().Ajax.activeRequestCount == 0;",
SeleniumDefaultProperties.getResourceAsStream("default.pageload.timeout"));
}
I have added
.properties file to handle all the server settings and timings related to our test automation framework. In above method timing is invoked from that properties file.
