Few weeks ago I got new cycling shoes, which are Nike’s and they feel very comfortable also that new clipping paddles are great and very easy to take off too. I did some small adjustment to my rear break systems but other than that bike is riding in excellent condition. My only complain was too much rain in twin cities metro didn’t allow me get out as much as I wanted in last week. But I am planning to make it up for that in this weekend and next week.

I am trying to figure out the map of that trial so I cam mark on Google Maps and publish it on the net so many other cyclists can take advantage.

Weekend in Rochester

Posted: August 20th, 2007 | Author: | Filed under: Miscellaneous | No Comments »

I went to Rochester to celebrate one of my good friends birthday. We had good time lot of drinking, everything was good other than the rainy weather. Lucky my friend didn’t get effect from the flash flooding that happened in south of Rochester in Winona county. But more than the rain my biggest dispute was one of our friend who got married recently start giving marriage counseling entire night. Not only him but his wife also started giving wired advisers. Like put a resume and find the person and thats how they got to know each other… Freedom that she had where she could select any guy she wanted but she let her parents select her the right one… so other than that stupid lecture by the married couple the weekend was a great one.

Let me say that after working and getting use to it, going back to school is not a fun thing to do. But I am excited about my second semester of my grad program. And I am hoping that I will have success on my research. Also I am happy that without much hassle I was able to get an internship. I was mainly looking internships on Java development in web applications but this is more like embedded programming with C++. The company make software to test cell phone functionalities also they are the main software contributor for Verizon.

Born (The Last One) Ultimatum

I can’t believe I forgot to write about this movie. I watched this movie on the opening weekend. And I would like to say, “What a way to get back to the movie theater in Summer”. In fact this is my first movie outing for this summer. Most of my summer I was involve with moving and settling down. Anyway about the movie, everything was good. Great visuals, I felt It was very well directed specially the stunts were very well co-ordinated. Also Matt Damon was at his best as always. I also think the script was very nicely written. I will promise that you will not getup for a bathroom break until the end of the movie no matter how hard is it hold it. Its that interesting.

Even though the end of the movie looks like a beginning for another serious, I hardly think there will be another Born movie. The reason I am saying it simply because Born finds what he was looking for….! And for me thats an end, but this is Hollywood so you never know…

If you haven’t seen it yet, You Better get your ass up there and watch it.

Rush Hour 3 more like a boring hour…

Posted: August 16th, 2007 | Author: | Filed under: Its Movie Time | No Comments »

I watched this movie last weekend and lets put it this way, Jackie Chan has been great actor especialy with the stunts for last few decades. But I think he is getting old and his stunts are getting bit boring too. If Chris Tucker wasn’t there the movie would have been a total failure. I agree it has some level of fun and humor thanks to Mr Tucker. After watching a great movie like Born Ultimatum this was very boring.

My new bike, Trek 1000

Posted: August 14th, 2007 | Author: | Filed under: Cycling | Tags: , | No Comments »

Yesterday, I put my new bike on a test. It was a mountain test. I first started with a good 15mile stretch and got some good acceleration and then climb a hill which had a 10% gradually increasing hight. I felt very good and bike was very supportive during the entire trip.

During the descent I experienced some noise from the rare wheel brake, but I don’t think its a major issue. Include that problem I have few adjustments that I want to do to the bike. I hope tomorrow I will get a chance to take the bike to the bike shop.

empowerMX – The worst place to work

If you ever want to see a worst management please join empowerMX and you will have the luxury of experiencing it to the the utmost level. Long story short, unqualified person who doesn’t have a personality, who cant speak proper English also cant speak with a person by looking at his eyes, some how manage to get a CTO position. Then he slowly got his brother and family friends in and gave them high level positions. Then he opened up his off-shore company in India and start out sourcing empowerMX work load to India. Mean time he found a kiss ass HR personality who would agree to every single decision that this unethical man makes. I just found out today that he just moved entire work load of the QA team to India and terminated all the QA position in US office. As a result of this one of my very good friend lost the job. Also this CTO person’s brother works for the same company and fly to India very often… from who’s money…?

NASA – Endeavour

Few days ago I was watching NASA TV channel and I got a chance to see how the space shuttle do the back flip manoeuvre and dock with the International Space Station. It was so amazing how the top potion of the space shuttle get open and a cylindrical more like a tunnel get connect with the space station…. it was something you got to see it from your eyes to believe it.

I hope the crew will get a chance to fix the damage that has happen during the take off. I watch the take off too and the NASA television commentator and the lead flight director was informing the viewers that it was a perfect lift off. But I am glad that they found it and trying to fix.

As Jay Leno says, I guess no alcohol involve at this flight…. :)

Eyewitness on storm

Posted: August 13th, 2007 | Author: | Filed under: Wild Life | No Comments »

It was 2am on Saturday morning I got up from the noise which was produced by the wind. I went to my patio door to check out side and what I saw was unbelievable. My apartment complex is surrounded by trees and most of them are grownup large trees. During the time of the storm most of the big trees were spinning and I felt they might fly and come towards to the apartment.

After half hour I went to bed and when I got up I took a walk to see the if there were any damages. I was right, three which was close to my backyard patio was brought down my the wind. Not only that few tree which were on the front side of the apartment complex have got the same treatment by the wind. Few cars were damaged my the trees. I am glad no one got injured. More than anything most frustrating after effect of the storm was not having internet or cable for two days. It took almost two day for Comcast to give internet and cable to city of Eagan.
