Grandma, I am going to miss you so much…

She is the best grandma that anyone could ever have or ever imagine off in their life. Having both my parents work during the day I grew up with my grandmother who nurtured me and made a great impact on my life. I always thought that I had to mom’s. During the day it was Grandma who took care of me and my brother with her down poring love. I remember during my junior school time, after school I used to get off at my grandma’s place from my school van and there she was waiting in front of the gate expecting me. Not only that she had already prepared the best meal you could ever have in your life. But with all the above my Grandma had a hidden agenda in her mind which was “how can I get this kid to start working homework and studies as soon as possible”.

My grandmas was very keen on education, she always wanted us to study hard and do the best. During exam times she used to do everything in her power to get a peaceful surrounding at her place for us to enjoy studying. One funny story was that one time my aunt visited us during an exam time and as usual I happened to be at my grandmothers place studying for one of my exams. My grandmother knew that if my aunt (my grand mothers youngest daughter) stays longer, I will not study enough for the exam. We all know that my grandma cooks delicious food specially when my aunt comes for a visit. But on that she was taking a step back on the cooking idea and was trying to tell her daughter to leave simply because it was going to rain and she thought my aunt should go home before the rain. This shows how seriously she thought about our education.

There are many memories like this, and every single time I remind them, my tears fallout because today I got to know that she passed away by saying good by to all of us. I still remember month ago when I spoke to her over the phone, she was so excited to see me in December. But I was not lucky enough see her for the last time in my life. Grandma I love you so much and I am going to miss you so much and I wish in my next life you will be my grandma again and wait for until i get off from my school bus. Grandma may you attain Nibbana.

Not happy with the Lakers trade…

I have no idea why would Laker do something stupid when the team momentum was high as it has ever been is past two three years. Also they were in a wining streak and one of the main reason that Lakers to win was the depth of the team. Right now Lakers are 7-6 and last four winning games Lakers bench outscored their opponent’s bench with a huge margin. Simply because they had players like Brian Cook, and Maurice Evans After listening to Kobe on the other day I realized that he also doesn’t agree with the trade.. I am sure there will be a huge impact on the Laker bench also this will add more load on Kobe.

Only if Umpire Rudi Koertzen kept his hand in pocket

Regardless poor batting other than Atapattu Sangakkara , the second test match was an absolutely a thriller mainly thanks to Sangakkara who played a gutsy inning along with Malinga. The result of the second test might have been a new world record Only if Rudy Koertzen was smart enough to think twice before he raise his finger to rule in favor of Aussies.

What Happened to Malinga in the First Test?

Posted: November 11th, 2007 | Author: | Filed under: Cricket - Its like a religion in Sri Lanka | No Comments »

Thanks to a free link provided by a generous website, I was able to watch the first test match on and off. I flipped out as soon as I saw the playing eleven at the toss of first match. They dropped Malinga and from that moment I knew we were going have tough time during the first test. And here we are today after the first test match and Australia leading by 1-0 in the series. What kind of stupid coach would take out Malinga from bowling attack when you are playing in Australia. Its a rule of thumb that on a any given day Genuine fast bowler always get a green light at the selection simply because pace can do many things that we can’t pre-judge.
Regardless that the pitch has some pace and bounce one a genuine fast bowler could extract and use it has his weapon. It was true that there was nothing for Vass or Maharoof who bowl medium pace with little bit of swing.
As a person who watch the game, I saw that Aussies didn’t have any threat from our pace attack at any given time. If Murali wasn’t there, Aussies would have gone 1000 runs in first inning for 1 wicket. So here is my advice for the new coach, Play Malinga in every single game if he is fit and ready…

Objectives
Main objectives of this research project are to implement Perl module to handle nick names as inputs and make suggestions for possible first names while attaching nick names with the matching last names to retrieve genealogical history of a given name, extend gen.pl along with additional modules to interface with http://www.ancestry.com to retrieve genealogical information related the names that are resolve by gel.pl module, add functionalities to handle combinations of errors such as misspelling, nicknames, mistakes during the census records and finally compare Soundex values of the return query and along with our implementation. The application will use gen.pl as its primary source and additional modules will use Perl as its primary language for implementation purpose.
