Seriously Lakers, How could you loose to Clippers

Since I got back from my Sri Lankan vacation life has been bit busy and bit crazy. So in between classes, research, work, and setting up class materials that I am TA for, I had little time to check the current standings of Lakers and I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw in my Google Calender that Lakers have lost to Clippers.

I haven’t seen the highlights I think for the betterment of my health I better not watch that highlights. Sounds like its more of a LOWLIGHT.

Want to smack Ariza’s agent

As a Laker fan I hate to see young talent get slip away from Laker Locker room. I hate Ron Artest but thats a different story, beside that I think it was a bad deal for Lakers in the long run. He had the potential to be a franchise face for Lakers. I think entire story was controlled by Ariza’s agent. It was all agent not willing to agree for little bit less money. When you compare the two deal it was not much different.

This is where you can test real ethics and moral behind a basketball player even though we all know all these players only care about Green. If you take a look at Ariza’s basketball career, He was a part of the deal that happen with Orlando and when you compare Ariza with the names in that deal (Brain Cook & Evens, I think), Lakers made Ariza’s career from just another NBA player to high paying NBA basketball Player. Lakers cant take the entire credit but its substantial enough. So, Ariza should have the decency to agree for a smaller deal and stay with Lakers because having the opportunity to win his second NBA Championship ring is priceless.

Back in Minneapolis, and miss my family and friends. I had a great time in Colombo threw a surprise party for my parents 31st wedding anniversary. Only trade off is that I am back in states just in time to watch Lakers winning their 15th NBA championship trophy.

Can’t ask a better NBA playoffs starting week, Lakers Won & Boston lost to Chicago

As a Laker fan, you can’t ask better NBA PlayOffs starting week than what I saw this past weekend. I was saw happy to see that Chicago kicking the Boston’s rear end. Not a big fan of Chicago (not even the time Jordan, Scottie, and Rodman was playing) but I will take any team against Boston.

I have mentioned this many times, Doc Rivers simply because I also can coach a team if you give me three supper stars. If you watch carefully Boston doesn’t have template level plays that any point guard can come to a the system can execute. Because they don’t have play calls other than Paul doing his thing, Ray Allen only has his pretty jump shot and KG is just happen to some spiritual guy who has a consistent jump shot around the baseline.

So Boston, I hope you will not go beyond the first round of Play Offs, and Chicago I am pulling for you guys. Send that Green Rear End way it belongs…

Lakers played a solid game against Jazz, It was a perfect show of contribution from all the players. Kobe shows that he can get points where ever, when ever he wants by idling almost entire first half and end up with 24 points at the end of the game. Keep in mind he had 7 Assists.

I hope this year, Lakers and Cavaliers will come for the finals I hope and I want Lakers to win but if Cavaliers win I will not be frustrated like I did when Boston won it last year.

Go Lakers: Sorry Boston not this time

This year Lakers started series of educational lecturing session. First was How to beat Boston, at Staple Center and the lecture was given on the Christmas day by Kobe and the Lakers with some examples. And yesterday we saw the second lesson taught by Kobe and Lakers. But this time title was bit difference, it was How to beat Boston in their Stupid Green House. So all I have to say is that Sorry Boston you ain’t going to win NBA Championship this time. Also the best part is you are going to loose to Cavaliers in Eastern Conference Final.

I just witnessed the best game in Regular season

Lakers vs Spurs, Even though I am a die hard laker fan, I have to admit that without no doubt that Spurs are one of the best teams in NBA league. Yesterday was one of the best games I saw in this season. Also it doesn’t go that far down in my overall best games list. Normally when the Lakers loose I get Extreamly livid, but for some reason I didn’t feel that way after Lakers loosing by one point in last few seconds. I still don’t understand why Kobe didn’t take the shot instead of passing it to Ariza. But he was doing that all night. He was trusting his team mates so much where he gave away so many open looks to open players. Don’t get be wrong, I love Kobe’s unselfish playing rhythm but I don’t see any one better than Kobe to have the ball in hand during final seconds in a close game. Both teams were shooting above 55% not because of bad defense but simply it was better offense. Yet I still think there were places that Lakers could have bump up the intensity of the defense.
